About The Event

😕 Is your fear of public speaking holding you, and your business, back?

Does your throat constrict when you're asked, unexpectedly, to present your thoughts in a meeting?

🤢 Are you avoiding public speaking altogether because you don’t want to bring up all that bad stuff?

It’s ok - these feelings are pretty normal. Most people worry about public speaking. Good news? There are things you can do about it. Come along to this interactive and friendly ‘espresso shot' workshop on public speaking. You'll have a go at practicing some key techniques to build confidence, and I’ll share my tips & tricks so you can build a tangible plan to get those anxiety gremlins in check. With a bit of passion and hard work (and I know you’re no stranger to that, sisters), you’ll soon be on your way to being even bolder business bad-asses.

I'm Uyen Vo, Chester resident and founder of Fierce Consulting. Fierce is all about creating a sense of empowerment, confidence and joy for my clients and I do this through my interactive management and leadership workshops. I was sooo chuffed when Helen approached me to work with you all because I believe that women need to take up more SPACE in this world and what better way than with our stories, our talents, our views and our visions for the future? Sadly, we can't do this to the fullest extent if we hide in the shadows. So, let's get together and support one another on our ride towards savvy speaking.

And me? Before setting up Fierce Consulting, I spent most of my career at Lloyds Banking Group, running projects in their Corporate Treasury function. After a successful career doing that, I moved to people development, ensuring the development and wellbeing of 300+ employees. In addition to my financial services experience, I like to draw insights and examples from a range of previous roles – such as launching new products in Japan, running a small company in the American Midwest and delivering Corporate Social Responsibility projects for TSB plc. I hold a degree in Economics from the University of Cambridge, and I ❤️ my new home town of Chester.

Like what you see, feel and learn with me? Then let's keep in touch on LinkedIn:

See you soon, chicas!
